How the field bench is priced

You pay for seats. Nothing else. 1 seat is 1 hire a month. Starts at 1 seat, $300 a month.
How do you pay him? Hourly, he goes here. On a salary, he goes on Key personnel. A foreman is hourly, so he is here. An estimator is salaried, so he is not. Rank does not decide it. Payroll does.

Paused. Your $1,725/mo rate is held and you are billing $375 meanwhile. Cancel and both go the same day.

Every rule in the product

Seats bill. Hires never do. Not the month he starts, not ever.
Add a seat or drop one whenever you want. No term, no notice, no exit fee.
Pause instead of cancelling, at $75 a held seat, and your seats stay off the market.
No good match that month? You are not billed for it. You pay for seats we filled, not seats we left empty.
Nobody holds more than 20% of a trade in their radius. Your ceiling is on the right.
1 seat is 1 hire a month. Hire a man off a seat and a new man takes his place the same day. You can hire that one on the 1st. Want 3 men in one month? Hold 3 seats.

Start at 1 and move up when the work does. Same card, same rules, no renegotiation. The first 2 seats are $300 because that is where a new shop starts.

Why the field bench never charges you for a hire

Because you hire off it constantly. Pricing a hire here would mean asking you who you put to work every single month. A call you do not want and a bill to argue about later.

So you buy the bench instead. Hire 1 man off it or 20, the number does not move. Key personnel is the opposite, because you hire salaried people once in a while: nothing monthly, 1 price when somebody starts.

Written down before it happens. Same whether they quit, you let them go, or the job went away.
1You were billed once, the month they started. That was the only charge and nothing else is coming.
2Nothing is billed when they go. No clawback to argue about either. What you paid, you paid.
3Gone inside 6 months? The replacement is free. Open the role again and hire off it, and that hire is not billed.
4After 6 months it is a new hire at the normal price. They stayed and did the job, and this is you filling it again.

The 1 rule that is not yours

A man on your roster can put himself back out for short work when he is not working for you. His profile, his call. 1 is out right now.

Your bill does not move. He was never on it
You get the first call the day he is free
He stays hidden from every other contractor
He may not come back. We will not promise it

A platform that would hide an idle man to suit 1 shop would do it to your crew next month.

Hires are the only line here. No monthly, no term, nothing to cancel. Hire nobody next month and this reads $0.

How salaried is priced

Open a role for free. Pay 1 time, the month somebody starts. Never hire, never pay.
How do you pay him? On a salary, he goes here. Hourly, he goes on the field bench. An estimator is salaried, so he is here. A foreman is hourly, so he is not. Rank does not decide it. Payroll does.

1 rule, any job

Project manager, estimator, safety director, controller. Whatever you call the job, the price is the same rule.
5 roles open at a time. That is the only limit on this side. Every role you open puts our people to work sourcing and checking, and that work is free to you until somebody starts, so 5 is where we hold it. Close one and open another whenever you want. There is no limit on hiring, ever.
Start to finish. Open a role, free. We put people in front of you. Hire 1 and you are billed 10% of their pay, once. Need a different job filled? Open another role, free again.
Hire as many as you want. The people you did not take stay on the role and stay readable. Take a second one off the same search and it is 10% again, and nothing else. There is no cap, no gate and no fee for hiring faster. We get paid when you hire, so we are never going to slow you down.

What it comes to against the alternative

You both get paid the same way, when somebody starts. The difference is what it costs.
What you pay themTo open the roleYou pay usA search firm chargesYou keep
A search firm bills $32,500 the week your project manager starts. We bill $13,000 on the same day. Same trigger, 40% of the money. And if you never find the right person, neither one of us charges you anything.

Why you pay per hire here and not per month

Because you do not hire salaried people every month. Charging you a monthly for a project manager you look for twice in 5 years would be charging you to wait.

So the risk sits with us. We fill the role or we do not get paid. The field bench is the opposite, because you hire off it constantly: 1 flat monthly, and nobody is ever charged for a hire over there.

Renewals

Every credential we verified at source, expiring across your bench and your roster, soonest first. A lapsed card is a man who cannot badge in Monday.
1Overdue or inside 30 days
131 to 60 days
161 to 90 days

How this works

We watch the expiry dates on everything we verified at source and tell the tradesman and you at 90, 60 and 30 days.
Only things we verified at source appear here. We do not track drug screens, physicals or background checks, so they will never show up on this list.
We do not renew anything on anybody's behalf. Renewing is the tradesman's job and we just make sure nobody is surprised.

Turnarounds

Partner programs

Trade schools and training centers we work with directly. 1 of 4 ways people reach your bench, not the only one.

Where the people on your bench actually come from

They find us themselves, off social media or the site.
A partner program sends them. The schools below. Credentials confirmed at the source. That is all Partner-Verified means.
Somebody already working refers them.
We go and find them where a trade is thin in your radius.
Every route ends the same: license checked against the registry, a real phone call, a profile you can act on. The tag tells you which door they came in, not how closely we checked them.

We do not print our partner programs by name. Ask on a call and we will tell you which ones sit inside your radius and what is coming out of them this term.

Where Partner-Verified comes from

We are in front of these students in person, all year. Most of them have never met anybody who does this for a living, and nobody has told them what the trades actually pay. We go and tell them.
They come out with a plan instead of a diploma and a shrug. A trade, a first employer worth having, and somebody who answers the phone in year 1.
Credentials get verified at the source, against the registry, not self reported.
Those graduates land on contractor benches inside their own radius, tagged Partner-Verified. That tag is the whole of what it means.

Data & security

2 people trust us with 2 different things. Here is what happens to each.
If you are the tradesmanYour profile, your contact information, your licenses
Never charged, never the product. Being on a bench is free. Your information is not sold or rented.
Your number is not public. Only a company holding the paid seat you sit in can see it. Never indexed.
License numbers stay hidden. A contractor sees verified and an expiry date. The number is encrypted and never shown.
You can only read your own record. Enforced in the database, not in app code a bug could bypass.
We never store your password. Google, Apple, or a 1 time link.
You can walk away any time, and your details stop being visible that day.
If you are the contractorYour bench, your roster, your billing
Your bench is yours alone. No other company sees your seats, your calls or your hires.
Your hires are locked out of the network the day they land on your Roster, and stay hidden for as long as they are on your payroll.
Your hiring activity is not sold. Your competitors never learn what trades you are short on.
Your people see only their part. Owner sees billing, foreman sees the bench. Set on the Company screen.
Multi-factor is required on every account that can see personal information. Cannot be turned off.
Crew credentials are yours to keep, and export any time you ask.
Cancel and your data leaves with you. No hostage clause.
Where the data actually lives

A managed database in a US cloud region

Every profile, credential and invoice in GridLink Workforce sits in an enterprise managed database run by a major cloud infrastructure provider. Nothing lives in a spreadsheet, a shared inbox, or somebody's laptop, and no part of it is homemade.

AES-256 at restEncrypted on disk. Tokens and keys get a second layer of application-level encryption before they are ever written.
TLS in transitEvery request between your phone, your browser and the database is encrypted end to end.
Row level access controlWho can read which record is enforced inside the database, not by the app. If our application code had a bug tomorrow, the database would still refuse to hand over your bench.
Daily backupsPlus point-in-time recovery, so a bad day never becomes a lost roster.
US data residencyHosted in a United States region. Your crew's information does not leave the country, and we will put that in writing.
Tested, not assumedRegular third-party penetration testing, continuous vulnerability scanning, and DDoS protection at the edge.
Certifications held by our infrastructure provider
SOC 2 Type 2ISO 27001HIPAA capable · BAAGDPR · DPA

Said plainly: those certifications belong to the provider we run on, not to GridLink Partners, and we are not going to let you assume otherwise. They secure the platform. We are responsible for the rules on top of it, which is why the access rules above live in the database and not in app code.

Ask and we will name the provider, hand over their audit reports, and sign a DPA and a mutual NDA with your security team. Same day.

Questions we get asked

Can another contractor see that I am looking at this welder? No. Bench views are scoped per account and are not shared, aggregated, or resold.
What happens to a tradesman's information if he takes himself off the bench? His contact details stop being visible that day. His profile stays his, and he can come back whenever he wants.
Do you sell candidate lists? No. There is no version of this business where we sell the people. The seat is the product.
Can I get my data out?Yes. Ask and we export your bench history, roster and credential records. Cancelling does not hold anything hostage.

Before you go in

This is a working walkthrough of how GridLink prices and delivers a bench of vetted tradesmen. The people, invoices and history in it are sample data, not real workers.

Tell us who you are. We keep one record per person so we know who has seen it and can answer your questions properly when you call.

Read the agreement below before you go in. Ticking the box is your signature on it.

Demonstration Confidentiality Agreement
GRIDLINK PARTNERS LLC · version 1.0 · document 01874dae3b0e

This agreement is between GridLink Partners LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("GridLink"), and you, the person named above ("you"). It covers what you are about to be shown. You are agreeing to it electronically by entering your name and email address and ticking the box below.

1. What is confidential

Everything in this demonstration that is not already public: how the pricing works and how it is calculated, the bench and roster mechanics, the invoice and billing design, our school and contractor partnerships, and the screens themselves. The workers, invoices and history shown are sample data and are not real people, but the design and the numbers are real and they are ours.

2. What you agree to do

Keep it to yourself. Use it only to decide whether to do business with GridLink. Do not forward the link or share your access. Do not copy, screenshot or reproduce it for anyone outside your company. Do not use it to build or improve a service that competes with ours.

3. What you can share

You may discuss it with people inside your own company who need to help you make this decision, as long as you tell them it is confidential. You stay responsible for what they do with it. If someone outside your company should see it, ask us and we will send them their own access.

4. What this does not cover

Nothing here restricts information that you already had before we showed you, that is or becomes public without you causing it, that you develop on your own without using what we showed you, or that you lawfully receive from someone else who was free to share it. If a court or government order requires you to disclose something, you may, provided you tell us first if you are legally allowed to.

5. How long this lasts

Two years from the date you agree. Anything that qualifies as a trade secret under Texas law stays protected for as long as it remains one.

6. If this agreement is broken

Confidential business information is difficult to value once it is out. If you break this agreement, GridLink may ask a court to stop it straight away, and may recover the losses it can actually prove. Whichever party wins a dispute under this agreement may recover its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs from the other.

7. No rights granted

Being shown the demonstration gives you no licence and no ownership in anything you see. It all stays ours.

8. Governing law

Texas law governs this agreement. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Harris County, Texas.

9. Electronic signature

You agree to do business with us electronically. Ticking the box and submitting your name and email address is your electronic signature. It has the same legal effect as signing your name on paper, under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. We will email you a copy of exactly what you agreed to, with the date, the time and the address you used.

10. The whole agreement

This covers this demonstration only. If you and GridLink already have a signed non-disclosure agreement in place, that agreement governs, and this one adds to it rather than replacing it.
